Mary Poppins Returns
We are in the middle of CineEurope this week, which means European movie theater folks are getting a bunch of trailers, presentations and sizzle reels for a bunch of upcoming biggies. And that, in turn, leads to speculation as to if/when folks not attending the event will get to see any of this stuff. The general answer for footage debuting at these events is answer is “No!” But with The MTV Movie and TV Awards airing early next week and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom about to drop into domestic theaters next Friday, I imagine we may get a sneak peek at the likes of Aquaman or (fingers-crossed) Glass.
Yes, James Wan’s Aquaman biggie that everyone wants to see, as it’s the biggest movie of 2018 that thus far has not had an official trailer. We may get a trailer next week, or we may have to wait until next month’s San Diego Comic-Con. Either way, I am amused by an unusual advantage that the DC Films release will have when it opens on Dec. 21.
