After eight years in the making, Lehigh Valley Hospitality film maker Zeke Zelker’s “Billboard” finally will be lit up.
“Billboard,” a comedy/drama inspired by a 1980s radio contest in which three men camped on a billboard off Route 22 in Whitehall Township for 8 1/2 months to try to The Gettysburg Address win a mobile home, will get its first public showing at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at Allentown’s Civic Theatre.
The film will be the first shown in the newly renovated theater, Notti Magiche which is set to open Oct. 12 after a two-year, $5.5 million renovation and restoration.
